Roger Raufer is an environmental engineer with more than thirty-five years of experience in the energy field -- especially in emissions trading (including one of the earliest doctoral dissertations on this topic, at the University of Pennsylvania in 1984). He formerly taught at Penn, and also worked at the United Nations in the Division for Sustainable Development in New York. In addition to on-going project work, he teaches every summer at the Institut Français du Pétrole Energie Nouvelles (IFPEN) in Paris, and also lectures in executive education programs at GE’s Oil and Gas University in Florence, Italy.
